Shri Abhishek Jain IAS ( Himachal Pradesh 2002) presently posted as Deputy Commissioner, Una, has been appointed as Labour Commissioner-cum-Director, Employment, Government of Himachal Pradesh.
Shri Jain is MA from Punjab University Chandigarh and has done his PG Diploma from IGNOU . He has done CS from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) in Company Management.
He started his Indian bureaucracy career in 2004 as Assistant Commissioner & Block Development Officer of Solan, Himachal Pradesh. In his service of varied experience, he has served as S D O (Civil) of Palampur(2005-06), Additional Deputy Commissioner of Kullu(2006-07), Deputy Commissioner of Kullu(2007-08), Special Secretary in Agriculture & Cooperation, Horticulture(2008 ), Special Secretary in Labour & Employment Department, Deputy Commissioner of Hamirpur (2008-10), Director – Sainik Kalyan Department, Hamirpur (2008-10), Special Secretary in Industries, Labour & Employment Department(2010-11), Director in Department of SC, OBC & Minority Affairs of Social Justice & Empowerment Minorities Welfare(2011-13), Special Secretary in Revenue & Disaster Management Department, Shimla(2013-14).
