In an Indian government news update on AAI, Blood being the lifeline of human existence and holds medical as well as symbolic significance for human existence. While on one hand, if it is shed while serving the nation, one is called a martyr and on other hand, if it is donated, it saves lives. To commemorate the martyrdom of Indian freedom fighters, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru, a Blood Donation Camp was organized by AAI Employees Friends Society at the AAI Corporate Headquarters, Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, Safdarjung Airport on 23rd March, 2017 with the help of Indian Red Cross Society.
Chairman AAI, Dr. Guruprasad Mohapatra while inaugurating the event urged all to come forward and donate blood for the social cause. Taking it as a social responsibility, AAI Employees participated in a huge number and made the event a grand success.
