AAI creating awareness in its own unique way

Gone are the days when only conducting seminar and Symposium was the only way to create awareness among the masses.  Recently, AAI organized a Cycle Rally to create Environment awareness and Green Goa at the time when AAI signed MoU with IATA for comprehensive e-billing solution at Goa.  This cycle rally jointly organized by AAI and IATA was  concluding activity for the Seminar/ Event conducted by AAI wherein more than 40 participants from all over India and visiting delegation from IATA (Headquarters)  Geneva took active part.

Shri S.Suresh, Member (Finance) emphasized on the importance of environmental issues and creating awareness on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan started by the PM. Shri Manfred Blondeel, Director E&F, IATA lauded the efforts and initiative taken by AAI in organizing the cycle rally for educating and creating awareness in the society and applauded the idea of Shri S.Suresh, Member (Finance) for organizing cycle rally.

Before this event, AAI also organized a workshop on Airport Information Management System (AIMS) at Goa in which all major AAI airports took parts and the issue of e-billing solution was deliberated for two days in length.  This workshop was inaugurated by Shri S.Suresh,  Member (Finance) in the presence of Shri Rajesh Bhandar, Executive Director (Finance),  Shri P.K.Mishra, Executive Director (Air Traffic Management) & Shri S.V.Satish, Executive Director (Information Technology) of AAI.

At present AAI is raising invoices to the tune of Rs.10,000 crore per annum and this system is functional at 96 AAI airports across India.  Speaking while inaugurating the workshop, Shri S.Suresh, Member (Finance) reiterated the importance of e-billing, transparency, accuracy and timely collection. Shri S.Suresh, Member (Finance) and other senior officers of Airports of Authority of India and representatives from IATA, Geneva participated in cycle rally organized to create environmental awareness and for clean and green Goa  after concluding the  of AAI-IATA collaboration meeting at Goa.
