Shri Anoop Kumar Mittal presently Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), NBCC (India) Limited has been given extension for a period of one year w.e.f. 01.04.2018. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved extension in Mittal’s tenure, an order issued by personnel ministry said. He took over as the CMD of the National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC), a public sector undertaking, in 2013 for a period of five years.
Profile: Shri Anoop Kumar Mittal has been the Chairman and Managing Director of NBCC (India) Limited since April 1, 2013 and its Director of Finance since March 12, 2018. Mr. Mittal served as a Director of Projects at National Buildings Construction Corporation Limited since December 5, 2011 and serves as its Head of Business Development. Shri Mittal oversees, inter alia various works undertaken by it for CISF, BSF, CRPF, Indo-Tibet Border Police, NSG, various defence housing projects, solid waste management projects, ESIC, JNNURM and UIDSSMT all over India. Shri Mittal is also responsible for overseeing its project in the Republic of Maldives.
Shri Mittal has been a Director of National Buildings Construction Corporation since December 03, 2011. Among many important assignments in NBCC, his significant forte was, his direct association with Delhi Metro Works where he was responsible for aesthetic and quality execution of first metro station at Seelampur, inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India in 2002 and from where Phase-I of Delhi Metro began its memorable & maiden journey. Mr. Mittal joined Sarat Das & Design Consortium in June 1982 as a civil engineer and was responsible for supervising the construction work at Indraprastha indoor stadium. He subsequently joined Shapoorji Pallonji & Company Private Limited in October 1982 as a civil engineer and was responsible for supervising construction works at the Life Insurance Corporation building, New Delhi. Shri Mittal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Punjabi University.
