Dr. Anil Kumar Jain takes charge as National President of The Bharat Scouts and Guides.
He said scouting has 107 year of history in the country and in 216 countries scouting activities take place with about its 4 million members.
About 57 lakh youths in India are participating in scouting, he said. Jain said effective steps will be taken for increasing participation of youths in scouting in the country in a big way and steps would also be taken for making Bharat Scouts & Guides Organisation more responsive, effective, relevant and reliable.
