Indian Bureaucracy, Lucknow, March 04, 2025 | The Govt of UP in a late evening communication (03.03.2025), notified transfer of 8 IPS officers in the state. In a separate order, Shri Aditya Mishra, previously serving as Chairman of the Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI) during his central deputation, has been appointed as Director General of Fire Services upon his return. He is scheduled to retire in June this year.
Details of all the officers are listed as below.
- Shri Aditya Mishra IPS (Uttar Pradesh 1989), upon return from Central deputation is appointed as Director General – Fire Services, Fire Service Headquarters, Lucknow, UP.
- Dr K Ejilearassane IPS (Uttar Pradesh 2004), presently Joint Commissioner of Police (JCP), Varanasi, is transferred and appointed as Inspector General (IG) – UP-112, Emergency Response, Lucknow. 112 is a unified emergency helpline number, providing immediate assistance for police, fire, and medical emergencies.
- Shri Manoj Kumar Sonkar IPS (Uttar Pradesh 2010), presently DIG – Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), Lucknow, is transferred and appointed as DIG – Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) Sector, Varanasi, UP.
- Shri Shogun Gautam IPS (Uttar Pradesh 2010), presently SP, Vigilance Establishment, Lucknow, is transferred and appointed as SP – Armed Police Training College, Sitapur, UP.
- Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh IPS (Uttar Pradesh 2011), presently DCP, Police Commissionerate, Kanpur, is transferred and appointed as Joint Commissioner of Police (JCP) – Police Commissionerate, Varanasi, UP.
- Shri Dev Ranjan Verma IPS (Uttar Pradesh 2011), presently awaiting posting, is appointed as DIG – Rule and Manual, Lucknow, UP.
- Shri Ashish Srivastava IPS (Uttar Pradesh 2013), presently DCP, Police Commissionerate, Kanpur City, is transferred and appointed as DCP – Police Commissionerate, Lucknow, UP.
- Smt Aparna Gupta IPS (Uttar Pradesh 2015), appointed as SP – Headquarters, DGP HQRS, Lucknow, UP.
- Shri Suraj Kumar Rai IPS (Uttar Pradesh 2018), appointed as Commander – 6th Provincial Armed Constabulary, Meerut, Police Commissionerate, Agra, UP.
