The CRPF will celebrate its 78th Raising Day on Thursday. The Central Reserve Police Force is the premier central police force of the Union of India for internal security.
At present, 9 Battalions are deployed in 14 districts of ower and Central Assam and 2 Battalions are deployed in Meghalaya to counter the insurgency in the states and also to maintain law & order.
IGP, NES, CRPF congratulated all the officers and men deployed in Assam and Meghalaya on the eve of Raising Day.
