Indian Bureaucracy News, Jaipur, March 31, 2026 | In bureaucratic reshuffle on the last day of the financial year, the Rajasthan government transferred a total of 65 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across the state. The late-March exercise, aimed at streamlining administrative machinery ahead of the new fiscal year, saw key changes in district administrations and departmental postings—including the high-profile appointment of a new District Collector for Jaipur, a new Commissioner for Jaipur Municipal Corporation, and leadership rejigs in mission-mode programmes such as Jal Jeevan Mission and the National Health Mission. The transfers, effective immediately.

Rajasthan Government

Details of the officers with their present and new postings is given below.

Dr Joga Ram IAS (Rajasthan 2005), presently serving as Secretary, Revenue and Colonisation, Rajasthan, Jaipur, and also holding additional charge of Secretary and Commissioner, Panchayatiraj, has been appointed as Secretary and Commissioner, Panchayatiraj, Rajasthan, with additional charge of Mission Director – National Health Mission, Rajasthan. Shri Rajan Vishal IAS (Rajasthan 2008), currently Secretary, Finance (Budget) Department, Rajasthan, and additionally Chief Executive Officer of the Public Financial Management Training Society, Jaipur, has been transferred and appointed as Mission Director – Jal Jeevan Mission, Rajasthan.

Dr Jitendra Kumar Soni IAS (Rajasthan 2010), presently Collector & District Magistrate, Jaipur, has been transferred and appointed as Secretary to the Chief Minister of Rajasthan as well as Secretary, Information & Public Relations Department. Shri Kanhaiya Lal Swami IAS (Rajasthan 2010), currently Commissioner, T.A.D., Udaipur, has been transferred and appointed as Divisional Commissioner, Jodhpur. Shri Nakate Shivprasad Madan IAS (Rajasthan 2011), presently Commissioner, Excise Department and Ex-officio Prohibition Director, Udaipur, has been transferred and appointed as Managing Director of Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Services Limited (formerly Rajasthan Urja Vikas Ltd), Jaipur.

Shri Sandesh Nayak IAS (Rajasthan 2011), currently Special Secretary to the Chief Minister, Rajasthan, Jaipur, has been transferred and appointed as Collector & District Magistrate, Jaipur. Smt Shivangi Swarnkar IAS (Rajasthan 2011), presently Managing Director, Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation (RIICO), Jaipur, has been transferred and appointed as Special Secretary, Finance (Budget) Department, Rajasthan, Jaipur, along with the role of CEO, Public Financial Management Training Society, Jaipur. Smt Anupama Jorwal IAS (Rajasthan 2011), presently State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SMSA), Rajasthan, with additional charge of School Shiksha Parishad and Commissioner, School Education, Jaipur, has been transferred and appointed as Collector & District Magistrate, Jaisalmer.

Shri Om Prakash Kasera IAS (Rajasthan 2012), currently Managing Director, Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Services Limited, Jaipur, has been transferred and appointed as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Jaipur, and CEO, Jaipur Smart City Limited. Shri Namit Mehta IAS (Rajasthan 2012), presently Collector & District Magistrate, Udaipur, has been transferred and appointed as Commissioner, Excise Department and Ex-officio Prohibition Director, Udaipur. Smt Namrata Vrishni IAS (Rajasthan 2013), currently Collector & District Magistrate, Bikaner, has been transferred and appointed as Special Secretary, Mines & Petroleum Department, Rajasthan.

Shri Alok Ranjan IAS (Rajasthan 2013), presently Collector & District Magistrate, Chittorgarh, has been transferred and appointed as Collector & District Magistrate, Jodhpur. Shri Arvind Kumar Poswal IAS (Rajasthan 2013), currently Special Secretary to the Chief Minister, Rajasthan, Jaipur, has been transferred and appointed as Commissioner, Rajasthan Housing Board, Jaipur.
