Indian Bureaucracy, Dispur, July 15, 2025 | In an important administrative reshuffle, the state government on Monday restructured major portfolios held by senior officers. IAS officer Aruna Rajoria and IRS officer Kumar Padmapani Bora were reassigned to streamline their existing responsibilities. The government also appointed a new Assistant Commissioner for Chirang district.
Smt Aruna Rajoria IAS (Assam Meghalaya 2004), presently Commissioner and Secretary, Agriculture Department, Assam, with additional charge of Commissioner and Secretary, Information & Public Relations, Printing & Stationery Department, Commissioner, Agriculture Production, Chairman, ARIAS, and, Chairman, Assam Silk Outreach Mission (ASOM), Chairman, State Level Nodal Agency (SLNA), WDC-PMKSY is relieved from the additional charge of Commissioner & Secretary, Information & Public Relations and Printing & Stationery Department, Assam.
Shri Kumar Padmapani Bora IRS, presently Commissioner & Secretary, Tourism Department Assam, with additional charge of Project Director, Assam Infrastructure Financing Authority, MD, Assam Tourism Development Corporation Ltd. (ATDC) and CEO, Mega Mission Society- Chief Minister Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana (MMS-CMSGUY), is transferred and appointed as MD – ATDC, with additional charge of Project Director – Assam Infrastructure Financing Authority, CEO – MMS-CMSGUY, and, Commissioner & Secretary – Assam, Information & Public Relations and Printing & Stationery Department. He is relieved from the charge of Commissioner & Secretary, Tourism Department, Assam.
Shri Megha Nidhi Dahal IAS (Assam Meghalaya 2015), presently MD, AIDC, with additional charge of Commissioner, Industries & Commerce, Assam, is given additional charge of CEO – Corporate Social Responsibility Authority of Assam (CSRAA).
Shri Bedanta Bikash Bora ACS (2021), presently Election Officer, Chirang, Assam is transferred and posted as Assistant Commissioner – Chirang, Assam.
