The 2nd India-Japan Joint Service Staff Talks (JSST) between the Headquarters, Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS) and the Joint Staff of Japan Self Defence Force (JSDF) concluded in New Delhi. This high-level meeting highlighted the evolving dynamics of modern warfare and underscored the shared commitment of both nations to enhance collaboration in critical domains such as space and cyber technologies, which are increasingly vital to defence partnerships.
Co-chaired by Air Vice Marshal Prashant Mohan, Assistant Chief of IDS, and Major General Minamikawa Nobutaka, Director General of the Defence Plans and Policy Department (J5) of the JSDF, the talks facilitated productive discussions. The officials focused on strengthening ongoing defence engagements and exploring new areas of cooperation under the existing bilateral mechanisms.
