25 students of Jawahar Higher Secondary School, (CBSE) Block-5 ,Neyveli were qualified in the IIT-JEE (Advance) 2016, conducted for seeking admission into the IITs , the Nation’s Premier Technical Education Institutes.
The IIT JEE (Advance)-2016 examination was conducted all over India . Approximately two lakh students appeared for the Advance exam who have qualified in the IIT-JEE (Main) examinations held in 3 rd April 2016.
Out of 62 students of Jawahar Higher Secndary School, who appeared for the IIT JEE- 2016 (Advance) examination, 25 students including 5 girl students (i.e every two out of five students) have been successfully qualified for admission into various IITs in India. The achievement of 2 out of 5 Students is the highest from any single institution in Tamilnadu.
Shri Sarat Kumar Acharya, CMD, NLC and the Chief Patron of Neyveli Jawahar Education Society appreciated the Students, Principal, Staff & members of Neyveli Telugu Samithi Educational Academy for the achievement. Smt N. Yashoda, Principal, Smt.
M.Sethumani, Vice Principal, Faculty of the Institution and officials of Neyveli Telugu Kala Samithi also wished the students for their bright future. With an intention to improve the opportunities for the students studying at Neyveli to enter into the prestigious institutions like IITs, NITs, Neyveli Telugu Samithi Educational Academy in coordination with Jawahar Education Society have started conducting coaching classes for the IIT aspirants from the year 2007. So far, out of the 423 students studied, 319 students were selected in various IITs/NITs.
