The 2013 batch IAS Trainee Officers will soon be reporting for a 3-month training module in Delhi before joining their respective states as part of their two-year training and will work in capacity of Section Officers with the Central Government. These officers will be posted as Assistant Secretary in 39 Central Ministries from 31st August 2015 to 31st November this year as per a new rule introduced by the government that new IAS probationers will start their career with a three-month stint at the Centre before going to their respective state of posting as per the cadre allocation.
