Indian Bureaucracy News, Lucknow, July 09, 2026 | In an important administrative overhaul, the Uttar Pradesh government transferred, reallocated, and in some cases restructured additional charges to place dedicated officers in critical departments such as Tourism and ICDS. In total, 20 IAS officers across various departments were reshuffled.

The reshuffle also involves key postings in revenue, medical education, culture, rural livelihoods, and municipal administration, among others. Three Chief Development Officers (CDOs) have also been changed in the latest round of transfers.

Detailed list of officers with their present and new postings is given below.

  1. Dr Sarika Mohan IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2006), presently Secretary, Medical Education Department and Director General (DG), Medical Education, is transferred and appointed as Inspector General (IG) – Registration, Uttar Pradesh.
  2. Smt Neha Sharma IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2010), presently Inspector General (IG), Registration, Uttar Pradesh, is transferred and appointed as Secretary – Medical Education Department and Director General (DG) – Medical Education, Uttar Pradesh.
  3. Smt Sudha Verma (Uttar Pradesh 2010), presently Secretary, Revenue Department, Uttar Pradesh, is transferred and appointed as Labour Commissioner, Uttar Pradesh.

  4. Smt Renu Tiwari IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2012), presently Special Secretary, Women Welfare, Secretary, State Women Commission, and Special Secretary, ICDS, Lucknow, is relieved from the position of Special Secretary – ICDS.
  5. Shri Arun Kumar IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2012), presently Additional Director, Geology & Mining, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, is transferred and appointed as Mission Director – Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission (UPSRLM), Lucknow.
  6. Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh IAS (Sanjay Kumar Singh-I, Uttar Pradesh 2012), presently Special Secretary, Culture Department, and Director, Religious Affairs Directorate, is relieved from the position of Special Secretary – Culture, and is given additional charge of Director – Culture, Uttar Pradesh.
  7. Ms Deepa Ranjan IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2013), presently Mission Director, UPSRLM, Lucknow, is transferred and appointed as Special Secretary – Culture Department, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow.
  8. Dr Vandana Verma IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2013), presently Special Secretary, Sugar Industries & Cane Development and Joint Managing Director (Jt MD), UP State Sugar Corporation Ltd, is given additional charge of Joint Managing Director (Jt MD), U.P. Cooperative Sugar Factories Federation Ltd.
  9. Smt J Reebha IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2015), presently Special Secretary, Geology & Mining Department, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, is given additional charge of Additional Director –  Geology & Mining, Uttar Pradesh.
  10. Shri Vishal Singh IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2015), presently Special Secretary, Culture Department & Director Information and Director Culture, Uttar Pradesh, is relieved from the position of Special Secretary – Culture Department, and Director – Culture, Uttar Pradesh. He will continue as Director – UP Suchna (PR and Information Department).
  11. Shri Manikandan A IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2017), presently awaiting posting, is appointed as Additional Land Reforms Commissioner – Board of Revenue (BOR), Lucknow.
  12. Ms Riya Kejriwal IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2017), presently Managing Director (MD), Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (MVVNL), Lucknow, is transferred and appointed as Special Secretary – ICDS Department (Bal Vikas Seva Evam Pustahar Vibhag), Uttar Pradesh.
  13. Shri Sandeep Bhagia IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2018), presently Additional Commissioner, State Tax, Gautam Buddh Nagar, is transferred and appointed as Managing Director (MD) –  Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (MVVNL), Lucknow.
  14. Shri Jag Pravesh IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2018), presently Municipal Commissioner, Mathura Vrindavan, is transferred and appointed as Special Secretary – Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department, Lucknow.
  15. Shri Parikshit Khatana IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2020), presently Chief Development Officer (CDO), Azamgarh, is transferred and appointed as Additional Commissioner – State Tax, Gautam Buddh Nagar.
  16. Shri Aojasvi Raj IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2020), presently Chief Development Officer (CDO), Ballia, is transferred and appointed as Municipal Commissioner – Mathura Vrindavan.
  17. Shri Ajay Kumar Gautam IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2020), presently Chief Development Officer (CDO), Etawah, is transferred and appointed as Additional Commissioner – State Tax, Ghaziabad – 1.
  18. Shri Rakesh Kumar Patel IAS (Uttar Pradesh PCS 2010), presently Additional Commissioner, Lucknow, is transferred and appointed as Chief Development Officer (CDO), Azamgarh.
  19. Shri Alok Kumar IAS (Uttar Pradesh PCS 2010), presently Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue), Gonda, is transferred and appointed as Chief Development Officer (CDO) – Ballia.
  20. Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh IAS (Uttar Pradesh PCS 2010), presently ADM (Executive), Muzaffar Nagar, is transferred and appointed as Chief Development Officer (CDO) – Etawah.
