Indian Bureaucracy, Thiruvananthapuram, February 12, 2025 | The Government of Kerala, through two separate orders dated February 11, 2025, has announced transfer and assignment of additional charge for twelve Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across the state. The reshuffle involves several key departments that are considered vital to public expectations and state revenue generation and plays an important role in economic and social development of the state. The departments central to this administrative realignment include, Sports and Youth Affairs, Ports, Women & Child Development, Devaswom, Fisheries, and the Vyttila Mobility Hub of Kochi.
The details of the officers and their new responsibilities are as follows:
Shri Mohammed Hanish APM IAS (Kerala 1996), presently, Principal Secretary, Industries, Kerala, with additional charge of Revenue, Wakf Department, is given additional charge of Principal Secretary – Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Government Secretariat, Kerala.
Dr Sharmila Mary Joseph IAS (Kerala 1997), presently, Principal Secretary, Local Self Government Department (presiding over both the departments – the Rural and the Urban) Kerala, is given additional charge of Secretary – Women & Child Development Department, Kerala.
Dr K Vasuki IAS (Kerala 2008), presently, Secretary, Labour and Skills, Kerala, Secretary, Non-Resident Keralites Affairs (NORKA), Kerala and Secretary, Department of External Cooperation, Kerala, is given additional charge of Principal Secretary – Animal Husbandry, Principal Secretary – Dairy Development, and Museum (Zoo) Departments, Kerala.
Smt T V Anupama IAS (Kerala 2010), presently, Special Secretary, Local Self-Government, Kerala, with additional charge of Secretary, Revenue (Devaswom) Department, Kerala, is relieved from additional charge of Secretary, Revenue (Devaswom) Department, Kerala.
Shri Mir Mohammed Ali IAS (Kerala 2011), presently, Director, Industries Department, with the additional charge of Special Secretary, Agriculture, Kerala, is relieved from the additional charge of Special Secretary, Agriculture, Kerala, and given additional charge of given additional charge of Special Secretary – Port Department, Kerala.
Update- Following a further order from the Kerala Government, Shri Mir Mohammed Ali IAS has been relieved of the Ports Department and appointed as the Special Secretary to the Department of Environment and Climate Change, Kerala.
Shri Abdul Nasar B IAS (Kerala 2012), presently, Special Secretary, Sports and
Youth Affairs Department, Kerala, with additional charge as Special Secretary, Minority Welfare Department, and, Director of Fisheries, Kerala, is appointed as, Special Secretary – Fisheries, Kerala, he will continue to hold the additional charge of Special Secretary – Minority Welfare, Kerala.
Shri D Sajith Babu IAS (Kerala 2012), presently, Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Kerala, and Special Secretary, Animal Husbandry Department, Kerala, is relieved from additional charge of Special Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Kerala and given additional charge of Special Secretary, Revenue (Devaswom), Kerala.
Shri P B Nooh IAS (Kerala 2012), presently, Special Secretary, Transport Department, Kerala, with additional charge of CMD, Kerala Transport Development Finance Corporation, is given further additional charge of Chairman – Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited, in addition to existing additional charge.
Shri Gopalakrishnan K IAS (Kerala 2013), presently awaiting posting, is appointed as Managing Director – Vyttila Mobility Hub Society, and, the post is declared equivalent to the cadre post of Additional Secretary to Government of Kerala (Junior Administrative Grade of IAS in Level 12 in the Pay Matrix Table Pay Range ₹78,800-2,09,200/-).
Dr Aswathy Srinivas IAS (Kerala 2020), presently, District Development Commissioner, Ernakulam, Kerala, with additional charge of CMD, Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited, Managing Director, Vyttila Mobility Hub Society, Managing Director, Kerala State
Construction Corporation Limited, is appointed as Managing Director – Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation, and the post is declared equivalent to the cadre post of Deputy Secretary Government (Senior Time Scale of IAS in Level 11 in the Pay Matrix Table Pay Range ₹67,700 – 2,08,700/-).
Ms Meera K IAS (Kerala 2021), presently, Sub Collector, Fort Kochi, Kerala, given additional charge of District Development Commissioner, Ernakulam, Kerala, relieving Dr Aswathy Srinivas IAS of the charge.
