Indian Bureaucracy, Kolkata, April 03, 2025| In a routine administrative realignment, the Government of West Bengal, notified a series of transfers totally to ten of its in-cadre Indian Administrative Service officers (02.04.2025), including restructuring of the additional charge portfolios, with allocation of dedicated officers to these roles. Detailed information regarding the officers and their respective new assignments is provided below.
- Shri Manoj Kumar Agarwal IAS (West Bengal 1990), presently Additional Chief Secretary, Forest Department, with additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Disaster Management & Civil Defence Department, is transferred and appointed as Chief Electoral Officer, West Bengal.
- Shri Debal Roy IFS, presently Principal Chief Conservator of Forest and Head of Forest Force, is appointed as Principal Secretary – Forest Department, with additional charge of Principal Chief Conservator of Forest and Head of Forest Force, West Bengal.
- Shri Rajesh Kumar Sinha IAS (West Bengal 1997), presently Principal Secretary, Housing Department, with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Youth Services and Sports Department and CEO, KMDA, is relieved of the additional charge of CEO, KMDA, and in lieu given additional charge of Principal Secretary – Disaster Management and Civil Defence Department.
- Shri Abhinav Chandra IAS (West Bengal 2001), presently Director, Institute of Environmental Studies & Wetland Management, is appointed as Additional Director – ATI, until further orders.
- Smt Smaraki Mahapatra IAS (West Bengal 2002), presently Secretary, Food Processing Industries and Horticulture Department, given additional charge of CMD – West Bengal Mineral Development & Trading Corporation.
- Shri P Mohangandhi IAS (West Bengal 2004), presently Secretary, Industry, Commerce & Enterprises Department, with additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director, West Bengal Mineral Development & Trading Corporation, is appointed as Director – Institute of Environmental Studies & Wetland Management, West Bengal.
- Smt Dipika Sanyamath IAS (West Bengal 2008), presently Secretary, Agriculture Department, is appointed as Secretary – Mass Education Extension and Library Services Department, West Bengal..
- Shri Pawan Kadyan IAS (West Bengal 2012), presently Senior Special Secretary, Finance Department, is appointed as IG – Registration & Commissioner of Stamp Revenue, West Bengal.
- Dr Uma Sankar S IAS (West Bengal 2011), presently IG, Registration & Commissioner of Stamp Revenue, is appointed as Senior Special Secretary – Agriculture Department, West Bengal.
- Shri Anshul Gupta IAS (West Bengal 2013), presently Special Secretary, Mass Education Extension & Library Services Department, is appointed as CEO – KMDA, until further orders.
