Indian Bureaucracy, Nabanna, November 27,2024|The West Bengal government has transferred ten IAS officers, including three senior officials at the ranks of Additional Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary. The changes involve appointments and additional responsibilities in key departments such as Forest, Disaster Management, North Bengal Development, Gorkhaland Territorial Administration, Food & Supplies, and Child Rights and Trafficking. New Additional District Magistrate have also been appointed as part of the administrative reshuffle.

  1. Shri Manoj Kumar Agarwal IAS (West Bengal 1990), presently Additional Chief Secretary, Fire and Emergency Services Department with additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Forest Department, is now appointed as Additional Chief Secretary – Forest Department with additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary – Disaster Management & Civil Defence Department, West Bengal.
  2. Shri Dushyant Nariala IAS (West Bengal 1993), presently Additional Chief Secretary, Disaster Management & Civil Defence Department, is transferred and appointed as Additional Chief Secretary – North Bengal Development Department with additional charge of Principal Secretary – Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA), West Bengal.
  3. Shri Khalil Ahmed IAS (West Bengal 1995), presently Principal Secretary, Food Processing Industries and Horticulture Department, is transferred and appointed as Principal Secretary, Fire and Emergency Services Department, West Bengal.
  4. Shri Anindya Mitra IAS (West Bengal 2012), presently Additional Commissioner of Revenue, Commercial Taxes Directorate Headquarters, is transferred and appointed as Special Commissioner – Food & Supplies Department, West Bengal, in the rank of Special Secretary.
  5. Shri Goutam Kumar Ghosh IAS (West Bengal 2012), presently Special Commissioner of Revenue & Special Excise Commissioner (Revenue), Excise Directorate Headquarters, is transferred and appointed as Special Commissioner – Finance Department, West Bengal, in the rank of Special Secretary.
  6. Shri Anshul Gupta IAS (West Bengal 2013), presently Managing Director, West Bengal Transport Corporation, is transferred and appointed as Special Secretary – Mass Education Extension & Library Services Department, West Bengal.
  7. Smt Sana Akhtar IAS (West Bengal 2014), presently Additional District Magistrate, Purba Bardhaman, is transferred and appointed as Director – Child Rights and Trafficking, West Bengal.
  8. Shri Shaikh Ansar Ahamad IAS (West Bengal 2016), presently Joint Secretary, Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises and Textiles Department, West Bengal, is transferred and appointed as Additional District Magistrate – Malda, West Bengal.
  9. Shri Sumant Sahay IAS (West Bengal 2016), presently Joint Secretary, Youth Services & Sports Department, is transferred and appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Information Technology & Electronics, West Bengal.
  10. Smt Tejasvi Rana IAS (West Bengal 2017), presently Additional District Magistrate, Jalpaiguri, is transferred and appointed as Director – Social Welfare, West Bengal.
