Indian Bureaucracy, Dehradun, December 17, 2024| The Department of Information & Public Relations, Uttarakhand, in a late-night communication, announced the transfer, reassignment, and portfolio alignment of seven officers, including four IAS officers.

Shri Vishal Mishra IAS is appointed as the new full-time Director for the Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN), a tourism entity, whist, Shri Yogendra Singh PCS, has been relieved of responsibilities related to Kedarnath affairs and associated committees overseeing the area’s development and temple management. The state also appointed new Municipal Commissioners and Additional District Magistrates (ADMs) for Haridwar and Pithoragarh.

The detailed list of officers with their previous and newly assigned roles is as follows:

  1. Shri Himanshu Khurana IAS (Uttarakhand 2015), presently, CEO, PMGSY and Secretary, Right to Service Commission, Uttarakhand is transferred and appointed as Additional Secretary – Watershed Management Directorate and Additional Director and Project Director – Watershed Management Department, Uttrakhand.
  2. Ms Namami Bansal IAS (Uttarakhand 2017), presently, Additional Secretary, Department of Medical Health and Family Welfare and Department of Medical Education, Uttarakhand, with additional charge of Joint Chief Electoral Officer, Uttarakhand, Additional Secretary, Watershed Management Directorate and Additional Director and Project Director, Watershed Management Department, Uttarakhand, is transferred and appointed as Municipal Commissioner – Municipal Corporation, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, and relieved of all the additional charges.
  3. Shri Prasant Kumar Arya IAS (Uttarakhand 2017), presently, Additional Secretary, Women Empowerment & Child Development Department, Uttarakhand, with additional charge of Director, Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), Uttarakhand, Director, Women Welfare, Uttarakhand, Managing Director, Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Ltd (GMVN), and Director, Sports and Youth Welfare, Uttarakhand, is relieved of the additional charge of Managing Director – Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Ltd (GMVN).
  4. Shri Vishal Mishra IAS (Uttarakhand 2017), presently, Municipal Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Haldwani, Uttarakhand, is transferred and appointed as Managing Director – Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Ltd (GMVN), with additional charge of Mission Director – Jal Jeevan Mission, Uttarakhand.
  5. Smt Richa Singh PCS, presently, Deputy Collector, Nainital, Uttarakhand, is transferred and appointed as Municipal Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Haldwani, Uttarakhand
  6. Shri Jaywardhan Sharma PCS, presently, Deputy Collector, Almora, Uttarakhand, is transferred and appointed as Additional District Magistrate (ADM) – Administration, Haridwar, Uttarakhand.
  7. Shri Yogendra Singh PCS, presently, Joint Secretary, Kedarnath Utthan Charitable Trust, Dehradun, with additional charge of Additional Chief Executive Officer, Kedarnath Development Authority and CEO, Shri Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee, Uttarakhand, is transferred and appointed Additional District Magistrate (ADM) – Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, and relieved of all the additional charges.
