The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results for the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2024, based on the written examination conducted by UPSC and the interviews held by the Services Selection Board (SSB) of the Ministry of Defence. A total of 574 candidates (comprising *510 men and 64 women^**) have qualified in order of merit for admission to the following courses commencing in October 2025 at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai:

  • *122nd Short Service Commission Course (Non-Technical) (Men)

  • ^36th Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) Course

The list of candidates qualifying for the 122nd SSC (NT) (Men) Course also includes those who were previously recommended for admission to the Indian Military Academy (Dehradun), Indian Naval Academy (Ezhimala, Kerala), and Air Force Academy (Hyderabad – Pre-Flying Training Course) through the same examination.

  • 122nd SSC (NT) Course (Men): 276 vacancies

  • 36th SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course: 19 vacancies

Important Notes:

  1. Medical Examination Results: The merit list has been prepared without taking into account the results of the medical examination.

  2. Provisional Candidature: All selections are provisional, subject to verification of Date of Birth and Educational Qualifications by the Army Headquarters.

Further Information:

  • Candidates can view their results on the UPSC website: www.upsc.gov.in.

  • Marks of candidates will be available on the UPSC website within 15 days from the date of declaration and will remain accessible for 30 days.

  • Non-recommended candidates can view their scores and other details under the “Disclosure Scheme” available on the UPSC website, and may exercise their options accordingly while downloading their marks.
