Uttar Pradesh government decided to recommend a CBI probe into the mysterious death of Karnataka cadre IAS officer Anurag Tiwari.
Talking to media persons at Lucknow this evening, Principal Home Secretary Arvind Kumar and Director General of Police Sulkhan Singh said, government is committed for impartial probe into the matter. They said, family members of the deceased officer today met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and sought CBI probe terming the mysterious death as murder of Mr Tiwari.
Our correspondent reports that Lucknow police has lodged FIR against unknown persons in this mysterious death on the application of deceased officer’s brother Mayank Tiwari. The body of the officer was found near State Guest house at Meera Bai Bagh road on 17th of this month.
