Shri Syed Ali Murtaza Rizvi, IAS, a distinguished officer known for his administrative excellence and strategic vision, presently serving as Principal Secretary – Commercial Taxes & Excise Department, Government of Telangana, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Principal Secretary (Poll), General Administration Department.
An Electrical Engineering graduate with a stellar academic record, Shri Rizvi belongs to the Indian Administrative Service and has built an illustrious career spanning over two decades. His leadership and commitment to public service have been evident through his diverse postings at both the State and Central levels.
He has previously held significant assignments including Principal Secretary – Energy Department, Secretary – Health, Medical & Family Welfare, and key roles in the Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India. As District Collector of Krishna, Nalgonda, and Hyderabad, he earned immense respect for his efficient governance and citizen-focused initiatives.
