Defence Minister Shri Manohar Parrikar has informed that the prime mandate of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is to design, develop and lead to production state-of-the-art sensors, weapon systems, platforms and allied equipment for our Defence Services. A number of products and technologies have been developed as spin-off, which are also beneficial with regard to industrial and public welfare, in addition to the national security.
