Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) in partnership Science Engineering Research Board (SERB), an autonomous body under Department of Science & Technology, Government of India is organizing a round table discussion forum to promote engagement of industry with academia through various schemes offered by SERB.
This round table forum will discuss various schemes available from SERB which can be availed by industry. These schemes help industries to use the knowledge and infrastructure available with academic and research institutions to develop products and solutions for specific industry requirements.
Currently two schemes are promoted; Prime Minister’s Fellowship for Doctoral Research & Industry Relevant R&D Scheme (IRRD). A brief on both the schemes is enclosed for your reference. Industries can avail following benefits under both the schemes:
1. Funding support for joint research project with academic/research institutions
2. Solve research challenges with academic expertise
3. Find the most appropriate Ph D scholar for your research project
4. Develop innovative solutions to problems for larger benefit of the society
The discussion forum will have representatives from senior management of leading industries and
senior government officers from SERB.
The agenda for the discussion forum are as below:

• Facilitate research & innovation based on industry specific requirements
