Ms. Suman Sharma IRS (IT 1990) presently Managing Director, Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd., Ministry of New & Renewable Energy , has been given in-situ upgradation to the level of Additional Secretary and posted as Managing Director, Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd., Ministry of New & Renewable Energy in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.She has completed her M.Sc in Organic Chemistry from Meerut University and also MBA from the University of Hull, United Kingdom. She began her career as an IRS officer in Ahmedabad and subsequently worked in Surat, Delhi, Pune and Mumbai.
She has worked with the Central Board of Direct Taxes and has gained experience in international tax while working in the Directorate of International Taxation and Transfer Pricing. Before joining SECI, she worked in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, as the Additional Director General of Foreign Trade, North Zone.
