Satyender Duhan IAS given additional charge as Mission Director- Haryana Skill Development Mission
Shri Satyender Duhan IAS (Haryana 2018) presently Director- Skill Development & Industrial Training, Haryana and Additional Secretary – Skill Development & Industrial Training Department has been given the additional charge as Mission Director- Haryana Skill Development Mission.
The Haryana Skill Development Mission (HSDM) is the nodal agency of the Government of Haryana responsible for coordinating, implementing, and promoting skill development initiatives across the state. The Mission aims to enhance employability, bridge the gap between industry requirements and workforce capabilities, and create a skilled talent pool to support economic growth and industrial development.
HSDM works in collaboration with various government departments, training institutions, industry partners, and sector skill councils to provide demand-driven skill training, entrepreneurship development, and capacity-building programs. The Mission focuses on equipping youth, women, and other target groups with industry-relevant skills through short-term training, upskilling, reskilling, apprenticeship promotion, and placement-linked programs.
The Mission also plays a key role in implementing national and state skill development schemes, fostering public-private partnerships, and ensuring quality standards in vocational training. Through its initiatives, HSDM seeks to improve employment opportunities, promote self-employment, and contribute to the creation of a future-ready workforce in Haryana.
