Shri Rajeev Sharma, Chairman and Managing Director of Rural Electrification Corporation Limited (REC), a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking under Ministry of Power, presented RTGS credit advice towards payment of Interim Dividend for the Financial Year 2015-16, amounting to Rs.718.52crore onthe shareholding of Government of India in REC to Shri PiyushGoyal, Hon’ble Minister of State for Power (Independent Charge), in the presence of Shri P.K. Pujari, Secretary,
Dr.Arun Kumar Verma, Joint Secretaryand senior officials of REC.
Further, for the nine months ended December 31, 2015, the Company sanctioned new projects of Rs.49,262 crore and disbursed Rs. 34,031crore to various power sector borrowers. During the said period, the Company recorded a PBTof Rs.6272.52 croreand PAT of Rs.4467.63crore, thereby registering a y-o-y growth of 9%and 7% respectively.
