Ms. Rashmita Jha IRS (IT 1997) presently CVO- National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd. (NTPC), Delhi given additional charge as CVO- Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd. (REC), Delhi for a period of six months from the date of assumption of charge of the post or till the appointment of a regular CVO in REC .
Ms. Rashmita Jha, a distinguished officer of the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) from the 1997 batch, has had a remarkable career spanning over two decades. From 1999 to 2023, she undertook diverse assignments at the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) in the Delhi region, showcasing her expertise in both domestic and international taxation.
Her versatile experience includes significant roles in the vigilance and litigation sections of the CBDT and the Settlement Commission under the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance. In addition, Ms. Jha made notable contributions to the Bihar and Jharkhand regions, serving as Commissioner of Income Tax (TDS), Commissioner of Income Tax (Audit), and in appellate roles such as Income Tax Appellate Tribunal and Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals).
