Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and Local Bodies Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu inaugurated a major civic project pertaining to cleaning of choked sewerage lines and drains through super suction-cum-jetting machines at Patiala.
Mr Sidhu said that present government was committed to reinstate the lost glory of the royal city and would ensure that it becomes one of the best cities of India. Patiala residents had been complaining of waterlogging and choked sewerage lines, especially during the monsoon season. He said twenty machines will be provided to other towns and cities of the state also for sewerage cleaning purposes.
