Ms Punita Kumar Sinha , wife of Union Minister of state Jayant Sinha has been appointed as Independent Director in Infosys. On being asked the appointment , Infosys informed that the nominations committee of the Infosys Board has a well instituted process of identifying and evaluating individuals who could bring varied skills and expertise to the Board of Infosys and that they look forward to benefit from her vast experience and understanding of the financial markets and investment banking.
Punita is a Btech from IIT Delhi , Masters in Business Management from Drexel University and a Doctorate in Finance from The Wharton School .
She had held many important assignments as MD- CIBC Oppenheimer , Senior MD – Blackstone Group and Managing Partner for Pacific Paradigm Advisors.
