The President of India, Pranab Mukherjee presented the National Awards-2016 to NTPC Kawas employee Dilip Kumar, senior stenographer (HR) for the empowerment of persons with disabilities on the occasion of International Day of Disabled Persons (Divyangjan) in New Delhi. On this occasion, the Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Thaawar Chand Gehlot; Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Krishan Pal Gurjar; Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Vijay Sampla; and Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Ramdas Athawale were also present on dais. To cheer up Dilip Kumar, Shubhashish Ghosh, RED (WR-I) and S S Mani, GM (Kawas) were present during the ceremony.
Kumar is associated with NTPC Kawas from 2003. Despite his visual impairment, he has shown excellent and appreciable performance in his job.
