PM to lead Indian delegation at upcoming 12th G-20 summit

Leaders of G20 nations will hold discussions on fighting the menace of terrorism during the leaders’ retreat at the upcoming 12th G20 Summit at Hamburg in Germany.Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the Indian Delegation at the summit which is being organized on 7th and 8th of next month. Briefing media Joint Secretary of Multilateral Economic Relations in MEA, Alok Dimri yesterday said, free trade, environment, sustainable development, development in Africa, digitalization, migrations, instability are expected to dominate the discussions during the summit.

He said, the theme of the summit this year is shaping an interconnected world. He said, the summit is has been organized around three pillars- Stability, Sustainability and Responsibility.

Briefing on Prime Minister’s upcoming visit to Israel, Joint Secretary, West Asia and North Africa, B Bala Bhaskar said, Mr Modi will visit Israel from 4th to 6th of next month. He said, the Prime Minister is visiting Israel on the occasion of establishment of 25th year of India-Israel diplomatic relations. He said, Mr Modi will meet Business Honchos and Indian diaspora in Israel.

Mr Bala Bhaskar said, Israel has taken great interest in India’s flagship programmes. He said, this will be the first ever visit of an Indian Prime Minister to Israel and he will have detailed discussions with his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu on all matters of mutual interest and will also call on President Reuven Rivlin.
