Piyush Goyal, Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy presided over the function to celebrate International Yoga Day at Kendriya Vidyalaya in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. In order to emphasize importance of sports and to promote Indian heritage of yoga among youth, Shri Goyal participated in mass Yoga demonstration along with Dr. Raman Singh, Chief Minister, Chhattisgarh. A large number of students also took part in this 45 minutes Yoga protocol demonstration programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Singh said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, with his Yoga Day Celebration, reminded everyone why India has always been considered Knowledge house the world. Explaining the benefits of Yoga, Dr. Singh stated that Yoga is not only increases immunity power of body but it also helps in activating whole system of human physiology.
