Panchali Kakati IAS appointed to Junior Administrative Grade of IAS
Smt Panchali Kakati IAS (Assam Meghalaya 2015) presently Secretary – Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department, Assam and Director, Dairy Development (addl.) has been appointed to the Junior Administrative Grade of IAS (Level 12 of Pay Matrix) .
The Secretary of the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department, Assam is responsible for overseeing policy formulation, administration, and implementation of programmes related to livestock development, animal health, dairy, poultry, and allied sectors in the state. The role involves coordinating with various directorates, veterinary institutions, and field agencies to ensure effective delivery of veterinary healthcare services, disease control measures, vaccination programmes, and scientific breeding initiatives aimed at improving livestock productivity.
