Kharif Crop Sown in 91.61 Lakh Hectare So Far

The total sown area as on 19th June, as per reports received from States, stands at 91.61 lakh hectare as compared to 98.88 lakh hectare at this time last year. It is reported that rice has been sown/transplanted in 8.33 lakh ha, pulses in 4.51 lakh ha, sugarcane in 41.58 lakh hectare and cotton in 19.66 lakh ha.
