Steel Quality Control

The Steel and Steel Products (Quality Control) Orders, 2012 have been implemented for 15 steel products, having direct bearing on safety and security of human beings and infrastructure. As per the laid down procedure, all the steel production units are required to have requisite infrastructure so as to obtain license from Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), in order to make them eligible to use the Standard Marks of BIS in their products. The product & standard wise number of licenses granted by BIS, who have the requisite infrastructure, is annexed.
