The 2nd National Finance Seminar “Enriching Knowledge Sharing through sharing of best practices in Financial Management and Corporate Governance on Emerging Markets” is being organized with The Institute of Costs Accountants of India, The Institute of Chartered Accounts of India and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India knowledge partners. The inaugural function was organized in Learning & Development Centre, Neyveli on 17.02.2018.

Shri V. Lakshmikumaran, Founder and Managing Partner of Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys, the Chief Guest, in his inaugural address, stated that, transparency is the fundamental element of good governance.  One should achieve goals through the means of Accountability, Responsibility, Dexterity, under the purview of law & regulations and following his own conscience.

Dr. S.K Acharya, CMD, NLCIL in his presidential message, informed that as part of corporate governance, it doesn’t matter how many decisions we have taken, but  What matters most is, how we implement those decisions righteously and that too in an efficacious manner by redefining our goals and by changing our roles in given situation abiding law and ethics.

Dr. P.V.S Jagan Mohan Rao, Vice President, South Asian Federation of Accountants and Dr.P.V.S Ahalada Rao, Vice President, (ICSI) in their special addresses stated that, Corporate Governance is nothing but Intellectual honesty for genuine results, where ultimately ethics and integrity prevail.

To mark the occasion an e-seminar souvenir was released by Shri V. Lakshmikumaran   and the first copy was received by Dr. Acharya.

Earlier, Shri Rakesh Kumar, Director (Finance), while delivering his seminar theme speech informed that the main intent behind holding this event is to make everyone to understand the framework of rules and practices of the various organizations in ensuring accountability and transparency and to exchange ideas regarding the best practices in financial management & Corporate Governance in the present market scenario.

During the inaugural session messages on National Seminar on Finance sent by Shri Piyush Goyal, Union Minister for Coal &Railways, Shri Susheel Kumar , IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Coal, Neeraj Kumar Gupta , IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Finance and  A.K Singhal, Member, CERC were read by  Functional Directors of  NLCIL.

NLCIL Functional Directors, Shri SubirDas, Shri P. Selva Kumar, Shri R. Vikraman and    Shri T VenkataSubramian, CVO  graced the Occasion.

Shri V. Chandrasekaran, ED/Finance welcomed the gathering and Shri S. Mathivanan, CGM/Finance delivered the vote of thanks.

In this two days National Seminar, 300 delegates from various organizations including NLC India are participating in various sessions on Corporate Governance & Regulatory Compliances, Resource Mobilization, Taxation and Accounting &Control etc.
