NHPC organizes Free Medical Camp

Under its CSR-SD Scheme, NHPC Limited, India’s premier hydropower company in association with Department of Health, Faridabad and Apollo Hospital, Delhi organized a free medical camp at BSN High School, Indira Colony, Faridabad on 12 January 2018. The camp started in the presence of Hon’ble MLA Smt. Seema Trikha, Shri S.K. Jain, Executive Director (CSR), NHPC and Dr. Kamla Fartyal, General Manager (Medical Services), NHPC. Shri B.P. Rao, Chief Engineer (CSR), Dr. R.S. Raathi, Dr. Rakesh Ranjan, Dr. Sushma Trivedi from NHPC, Incharge Medical Officer, Urban PHC, Indira Colony, Faridabad Dr. Geetha, Dr. Amit Mittal, Cardiologist, Dr. Vibhu Behl, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr. Nikhil Modi, Pulmonologist, Dr. Amita, Gyne- cologist, Dr Venus, ENT Surgeon from Apollo Hospital Delhi, Dr. Shikha, Eye Surgeon from BK Hospital alongwith other doctors and Councilor Shri Satish Kumar were also present on the occasion.

Shri Kavish, Unit Incharge alongwith his team from Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, covered the occasion and conveyed the message of Hon’ble Prime Minister regarding the mission: “Save girl child”, and “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”. Medical team from B K Hospital comprising of Dr Deepak Chawla, Dr Narinder Kaur and Dr Smriti apprised local masses about health and family planning, Tuberculosis, Leprosy and Mission Indradhanush programmes of the Government. Smt. Seema Trikha, Hon’ble MLA praised the CSR activities undertaken by NHPC in Faridabad.

The camp was highly successful with 990 persons from the surrounding areas availing the benefits of the camp. During the camp free medical consultation was given by specialist doctors in Cardiology, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, ENT, Orthopaedics, Eye and Internal Medicine. PFT and Refraction tests administered and free medicines were also distributed.
