Massive Judicial Shake-Up in Himachal Pradesh, 51 Judges Transferred

Indian Bureaucracy, Shimla, December 12, 2024|The Hon’ble High Court of Himachal Pradesh, vide a late evening order issued yesterday, has effected the transfer and posting of fifty-one judicial officers. The order includes appointments of judicial officers to the Fast Track Special Courts dealing with cases under the Rape and POCSO Acts, promotions to senior grades, and ad-hoc appointments to meet administrative and judicial requirements at various subordinate courts. The judges are required to assume their new positions on or before December 21, 2024. The details of the judicial officers and their respective postings are as follows,

1. Shri Vivek Sharma, presently, District and Sessions Judge (Leave/Training Reserve), High Court of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla, is transferred and posted as Principal Judge – Family Court, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.
2. Shri Harish Sharma, presently, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Kullu, on his placement as District and Sessions Judge, is transferred and posted as District and Sessions Judge (Leave/Training Reserve), High Court of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla.
3. Shri Amit Mandyal, presently, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Fast Track Special Court (Rape & POCSO), Shimla, on his promotion/appointment as Additional District and Sessions Judge on officiating basis for a period of two years, is transferred and posted as Additional District and Sessions Judge, Kullu, Himachal Pradesh.
4. Shri Harmesh Kumar, presently, Senior Civil Judge-cum-CJM, Chamba, on his promotion/appointment as Additional District and Sessions Judge on an ad hoc basis, is transferred and posted as Additional District and Sessions Judge – Fast Track Court (Rape/POCSO), Kinnaur at Rampur Bushahr, Himachal Pradesh.
5. Shri Ramnik Sharma, presently, Senior Civil Judge-cum-CJM, Solan, on his promotion/appointment as Additional District and Sessions Judge on an ad hoc basis, is transferred and posted as Additional District and Sessions Judge – Fast Track Court (Rape/POCSO), Solan, Himachal Pradesh.
6. Shri Vivek Sharma, presently, Senior Civil Judge-cum-CJM, Shimla, on his promotion/appointment as Additional District and Sessions Judge on an ad hoc basis, is transferred and posted as Additional District and Sessions Judge – Fast Track Court (Rape/POCSO), Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.
7. Shri Sidharth Sarpal, presently, Senior Civil Judge-cum-CJM, Mandi, on his promotion/appointment as Additional District and Sessions Judge on an ad hoc basis, is transferred and posted as Additional District and Sessions Judge – Fast Track Court (Rape/POCSO), Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.
8. Shri Subhash Chander Bhaseen, presently, Senior Civil Judge-cum-CJM, Kullu, on his promotion/appointment as Additional District and Sessions Judge on an ad hoc basis, is transferred and posted as Additional District and Sessions Judge – Fast Track Court (Rape/POCSO), Sirmaur at Nahan, Himachal Pradesh.
9. Shri Nitin Mittal, presently, Senior Civil Judge-cum-CJM, Kangra at Dharamshala, on his promotion/appointment as Additional District and Sessions Judge on an ad hoc basis, is transferred and posted as Additional District and Sessions Judge – Fast Track Court (Rape/POCSO), Kangra at Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.
10. Shri Vikrant Kaundal, presently, Senior Civil Judge-cum-Chief Judicial Magistrate, Lahaul & Spiti at Kullu, is transferred and posted as Senior Civil Judge-cum-Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kullu, Himachal Pradesh.
11. Shri Sandeep Singh Sihag, presently, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Chamba, on his placement as Chief Judicial Magistrate, is transferred and posted as Senior Civil Judge-cum-Chief Judicial Magistrate, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.
12. Ms Divya Jyoti Patial, presently, Senior Civil Judge-cum-ACJM, Nadaun, on her placement as Chief Judicial Magistrate, is transferred and posted as Senior Civil Judge-cum-Chief Judicial Magistrate, Solan, Himachal Pradesh.
13. Shri Nikhil Aggarwal, presently, Senior Civil Judge-cum-ACJM, Sarkaghat, on his placement as Chief Judicial Magistrate, is transferred and posted as Senior Civil Judge-cum-Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chamba, Himachal Pradesh.
14. Shri Hakikat Dhanda, presently, Central Project Coordinator, High Court of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla, on his placement as Chief Judicial Magistrate, is transferred and posted as Senior Civil Judge-cum-Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kangra at Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. He shall also oversee the Mobile Traffic Magistrate duties for Kangra & Una at Dharamshala until further orders.
15. Ms Akshi Sharma, presently, Senior Civil Judge-cum-ACJM, Theog, on her placement as Chief Judicial Magistrate, is transferred and posted as Senior Civil Judge-cum-Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh.
16. Shri Aslam Beg, presently, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Hamirpur, on his placement as Chief Judicial Magistrate, is transferred and posted as Senior Civil Judge-cum-Chief Judicial Magistrate, Lahaul & Spiti at Kullu, Himachal Pradesh.
17. Ms Neha Sharma, presently, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Shimla, on her placement as Chief Judicial Magistrate, is transferred and posted as Senior Civil Judge-cum-Chief Judicial Magistrate, Una, Himachal Pradesh.
18. Ms Manisha Goyal, presently, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Bilaspur, on her placement as Chief Judicial Magistrate, is transferred and posted as Senior Civil Judge-cum-Chief Judicial Magistrate, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.
19. Shri Nishant Verma, presently, Senior Civil Judge (Leave/Training Reserve), High Court of Himachal Pradesh, is transferred and posted as Central Project Coordinator, High Court of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla.
20. Ms Abha Chauhan, presently, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Kullu, on her promotion/appointment in the cadre of Senior Civil Judges on officiating basis for a period of two years, is retained at her current posting.
21. Shri Ajay Kumar, presently, Senior Civil Judge-cum-ACJM, Nalagarh, on his promotion/appointment in the cadre of Senior Civil Judges on officiating basis for a period of two years, is retained at his current posting.
22. Ms Akanksha Dogra, presently, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Solan, on her promotion/appointment in the cadre of Senior Civil Judges on officiating basis for a period of two years, is retained at her current posting.

24. Shri Anuj Bahal, presently, Civil Judge-cum-Judicial Magistrate of First Class (JMFC), Banjar, on his promotion/appointment in the cadre of Senior Civil Judges on officiating basis for a period of two years, is transferred and posted as Senior Civil Judge-cum-Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM), Nadaun.
25. Shri Prateek Gupta, presently, Civil Judge-cum-JMFC, Gohar, on his promotion/appointment in the cadre of Senior Civil Judges on officiating basis for a period of two years, is transferred and posted as Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Bilaspur.
26. Ms Kanika Gupta, presently, Civil Judge-cum-JMFC-II, Mandi, on her promotion/appointment in the cadre of Senior Civil Judges on officiating basis for a period of two years, is transferred and posted as Senior Civil Judge-cum-ACJM, Theog.
27. Shri Kuldeep Sharma, presently, Civil Judge-cum-JMFC, Manali, District Kullu, on his promotion/appointment in the cadre of Senior Civil Judges on officiating basis for a period of two years, is transferred and posted as Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Hamirpur.
28. Shri Umesh Verma, presently, Civil Judge-cum-JMFC-III, Shimla, on his promotion/appointment in the cadre of Senior Civil Judges purely on an adhoc basis, is transferred and posted as Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Shimla.
29. Shri Gaurav Chaudhary, presently, Civil Judge-cum-JMFC, Dehra, District Kangra, on his promotion/appointment in the cadre of Senior Civil Judges purely on an adhoc basis, is transferred and posted as Senior Civil Judge-cum-ACJM-II, Dehra.
30. Ms Sonal Sharma, presently, Civil Judge-cum-JMFC-I, Solan, on her promotion/appointment in the cadre of Senior Civil Judges purely on an adhoc basis, is transferred and posted as Senior Civil Judge-cum-ACJM-I, Solan.
31. Ms Deepali Gambhir, presently, Civil Judge-cum-JMFC-II, Nurpur, District Kangra, on her promotion/appointment in the cadre of Senior Civil Judges purely on an adhoc basis, is transferred and posted as Senior Civil Judge-cum-ACJM-II, Nurpur.
32. Shri R. Mihul Sharma, presently, Civil Judge-cum-JMFC-II, Solan, on his promotion/appointment in the cadre of Senior Civil Judges purely on an adhoc basis, is transferred and posted as Senior Civil Judge-cum-ACJM-II, Solan. He shall also continue to look after the work of Mobile Traffic Magistrate, Solan till further orders.

43. Ms Priya Dogra, presently, Civil Judge-cum-JMFC-VI, Shimla, is transferred and posted as Civil Judge-cum-JMFC, Gohar.
44. Ms Jyoti Bhagchandani, Civil Judge, after completion of induction training, is transferred and posted as Civil Judge-cum-JM-IV, Shimla.
