Indian Bureaucracy, Thiruvananthapuram, May 18, 2025| The state government of Kerala has issued an amendment to its IPS transfer order dated May 09, 2025. This revision, made on Saturday, nullifies seven previous decisions, resulting in the reassignment of those officers to their prior posts, and assigns additional roles to two other officers. The updated list, detailing their previous and new postings, is as follows;
  1. Shri M R Ajith Kumar IPS (Kerala 1995), recently appointed as Excise Commissioner, Kerala, is transferred and appointed as Additional Director General of Police (ADG) – Armed Police Battalions, Kerala.
  2. Shri S Sreejith IPS (Kerala 1996), presently ADG, Headquarters, given additional charge of ADG – Cyber Operations, Kerala.
  3. Shri Mahipal Yadav IPS (Kerala 1997), recently appointed as ADG, Crime, Kerala, is transferred and appointed as Excise Commissioner – Kerala.
  4. Shri Balram Kumar Upadhyaya IPS (Kerala 1997), recently appointed as ADG, Kerala Police Academy (KEPA), Kerala, is transferred and appointed as Director General – Prisons & Correctional Services, Kerala.
  5. Shri H Venkatesh IPS (Kerala 1998), presently ADG, Law & Order, given additional charge of ADG – Crime, Kerala.
  6. Shri G Sparjan Kumar IPS (Kerala 2002), presently IG, Crimes I, Thiruvananthapuram, given additional charges of IG – Crimes II, Ernakulam, and, IG –  Crimes III, Kozhikode, Kerala.
  7. Shri K Sethu Raman IPS (Kerala 2004), recently appointed IG, Prison, is transferred and appointed as IG & Director – KEPA.
  8. Shri P Prakash IPS (Kerala 2004), recently appointed as IG, Coastal Police, is transferred and appointed as IG – State Crime Records Bureau, Kerala.
  9. Shri A Akbar IPS (Kerala 2005), recently appointed as IG, Internal Security, is transferred and appointed as IG – Coastal Police, Kerala.
