Justice Vivek Kumar Singh presently Judge- Madras High Court has been transferred as Judge of Madhya Pradesh High Court .

Hon’ble Mr. Justice Vivek Kumar Singh, presently serving as Judge of the Madras High Court, has been transferred to the Madhya Pradesh High Court. A judge known for his balanced approach and legal clarity, Justice Singh has built a career that reflects consistency, commitment, and deep engagement with both civil and criminal jurisprudence.

Born on 25th March 1968, Justice Singh pursued his law degree from Awadhesh Pratap Singh (A.P.S.) University, Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, completing his graduation in 1993. The same year, on 30th August, he enrolled as an Advocate and began his legal practice with a focus on civil and criminal law at the Allahabad High Court. His legal career over the years was marked by integrity, diligent advocacy, and a growing reputation as a dependable legal professional.

His rich experience in litigation and his firm grasp over various branches of law eventually led to his elevation as an Additional Judge of the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad on 22nd September 2017. Justice Singh was confirmed as a Permanent Judge on 6th September 2019, continuing to serve at the Allahabad High Court with distinction until 22nd November 2023.

Following his tenure in Allahabad, Justice Vivek Kumar Singh was transferred to the Madras High Court, where he took oath as a Judge on 23rd November 2023. His transition to a new jurisdiction showcased his adaptability and capacity to deliver justice in a diverse legal and linguistic environment — a quality essential for judges serving in the higher judiciary.

Now, with his transfer to the Madhya Pradesh High Court, Justice Singh returns to his home state, bringing with him a wealth of judicial experience and a well-rounded understanding of regional as well as national legal issues.
