Shri Justice Pavankumar Bhimappa Bajanthri presently Judge of the Patna High Court has been appointed as Chief Justice of the Patna High Court.
Hon’ble Mr. Justice P B Bajanthri, born on 23rd October 1963, is a distinguished jurist renowned for his legal acumen and unwavering commitment to justice. He received his education at Vidhyavardhaka Sangha, K.L.E. Society, and S.J.R.C. Law College, Bangalore, laying a strong foundation for his illustrious legal career.
Enrolled as an Advocate in 1990, His Lordship practiced extensively in the High Court of Karnataka, Karnataka Administrative Tribunal (KAT), Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), and before various educational authorities, earning recognition for his deep knowledge and integrity. In 1993-94, he served as KPSC Standing Counsel, demonstrating exemplary dedication to public service. He was appointed a Notary by the Government of India in May 2006, further reflecting his professional credibility.
His judicial journey began with his appointment as an Additional Judge of the Karnataka High Court on 2nd January 2015. Following his transfer to the High Court of Punjab and Haryana on 16th March 2015, and later back to Karnataka on 17th November 2018, and subsequently to the Patna High Court on 20th October 2021, Justice Bajanthri has consistently upheld the highest standards of fairness, diligence, and judicial excellence.
