Shri J.S Deepak IAS (UP 1982) presently posted as Additional Secretary, Commerce, has been appointed as Secretary Department of Electronics & IT, in place of Shri R S Sharma IAS.
Shri J S Deepak is a Masters in Physics and PG in Business Administration from IIMA.
He started his Indian bureaucracy career in 1984 as the Executive Magistrate of Ballia. In his vast service of varied experience he has served as S D M of Saharanpur (1985-86), Commissioner of Faizabad, Secretary, Small Scale Industries Corporation(2002-03), Secretary Personnel Department of Uttar Pradesh, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Commerce & Industry ,Department of Commerce.
He has served in Central Cadre as Secretary, Communications & Information Technology and Department of Electronics & Information Technology.
