Israel Aerospace Industries Launches AeroSpace Services India

IndianBureaucracy, New Delhi, March 27, 2024 – Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), a leading aerospace and defense corporation, launched AeroSpace Services India (ASI), its Indian subsidiary in New Delhi. ASI, in collaboration with DRDO, develops and maintains advanced systems for the Indian armed forces, under the Government of India’s Make in India initiative, widely recognised as ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.

ASI is the sole authorized Technical Representative of the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for the complete Medium Range Surface-to-Air Missile (MRSAM) system and will trade in Indian Rupees. MRSAM is an advanced and innovative air and missile defense system that provides ultimate protection against a variety of aerial platforms. It is used by the Indian army, air force and navy. The system includes an advanced phased array radar, command and control, mobile launchers, and interceptors with advanced RF seeker. MRSAM is being jointly developed by IAI and DRDO for the Indian forces.

Danny Lauber, CEOAerospace Services India, highlighted the longstanding collaboration between IAI and its Indian partners in cutting-edge technologies over the past three decades. “Over the past 30 years, IAI has worked closely with our Indian partners collaborating on some of the latest technologies,” he stated. Lauber emphasized that the new ASI office will strengthen this commitment further. He expressed confidence in the team of local professionals and emphasized collaborative efforts with partners in both the public and private sectors.

ASI has a current employee strength of around 50 professionals from diverse background, with 97% being Indian nationals. Based in Delhi, ASI’s strategically positioned branches offer services throughout the Indian subcontinent, as a commitment to nationwide coverage and customer satisfaction.

With its new facilities on the ground, ASI aims to significantly reduces turnaround times for repairs and service operations, ensuring swift and efficient support to esteemed customers. Additionally, by operating locally, ASI is looking to reducing the cost of services and repairs, thereby providing tangible benefits to valued customers.
