IndianBureaucracy.com Greets all people of Chhattisgarh on its Formation Day today | Chhattisgarh is one of the 28 states of India and is located in East-Central India. The state was earlier part of its neighboring state, Madhya Pradesh. Chhattisgarh had been the center of progress and development of several culture since the Vedic and Mythological times. The ancient temples here and their ruins indicate that Vaishnava, Shaivite, Shakta, Buddhist cultures have had influence in various periods. A resource-rich state, it is a source of electricity and steel for the country,
producing 15% of the total steel. It is the 9th-largest state in India, with an area of 135,192 km2 (52,198 sq mi), with a population of 32.2 million as of 2020. Chhattisgarh is the 17th-most populated state in the country.

Formed on 1 November 2000 by partitioning ten Chhattisgarhi and six Gondi-speaking southeastern districts of Madhya Pradesh, the capital city is Raipur and Chhattisgarh borders the states of Madhya Pradesh in the northwest, Uttar Pradesh in the north, Jharkhand in northeast, Maharashtra in the southwest, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in the south, and Odisha in the southeast comprising of 28 districts.

Chhattisgarh is one of the fastest-developing states in India.The Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) of Chhattisgarh is ₹3.63 lakh crore (US$51 billion) and the per capita GSDP ₹102,762 (US$1,400) A resource-rich state, Chhattisgarh is a source of electricity and steel for the country, accounting for 15% of the total steel produced as well as a large contributor of coal. Chhattisgarh in the cleanest state in the category of states with more than 100 urban local bodies (ULB), for the 2nd time, as per the ‘Swachh Survekshan 2020’ results announced by organised by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
