Indian Bureaucracy News, Chandigarh, June 26 2026 | In a major reorganisation of the state’s police force, the Haryana government has reshuffled over 35 IPS and HPS officers, with the June 26, 2026 order revealing a clear focus on the Panchkula–Chandigarh corridor, the Hisar–Rohtak–Karnal belt, and the National Capital Region (NCR) districts of Gurugram, Faridabad, and Sonipat.
At the top, three senior IPS officers of the 1992–1994 batches have been reassigned – Ajay Singhal IPS takes charge of the Police Housing Corporation, Alok Mittal IPS is now firmly at the helm of Prisons, and Navdeep Singh Virk IPS and Kala Ramachandran IPS have been promoted to Director General rank positions in Enforcement and Training respectively.
At the field level, the order alters the policing landscape of the NCR, with Rajinder Kumar Meena IPS moving from Sonipat to Faridabad as Joint CP, Dr Anshu Singla IPS taking charge as DCP Headquarters in Gurugram, and DSP-level officers being rotated across Panipat, Sonipat, Rewari, and Ambala. Multiple officers have been consolidated into the State Vigilance & Anti-Corruption Bureau, while the IRB battalions at Bhondsi and Sunaria have seen fresh postings.
