  1. Dowry and Marital Deaths from the Perspective of the Partners…..

Unidentified mental disorders developed through the childhood or genetically orders or Delusional disorder and the mental disorder of suspicion and other forms of mental inferiority complexes , insecure feelings in front of a more smart and beautiful partner or even the disorder with respect to normal sexual concepts can be the reason most likely behind the increasing incidents of marital discord and violences leading to the death or zuicide of the other partner , whether it be male or female.
It comes out in many forms like doubting desease , a deliberate quarrel for more dowry , wherein the actual reason could be the partner’s mental disorder , but getting manifested in the form of more demand for dowry or other issues and finally leading to either the miserable life , zuicides or killings of either of the partners and their children will grow up with more mental deficiencies.

So if at all a divorce is better , do it early so that , their children will not grow up in such an ugly atmosphere leading their lives also into misery and growing up with mental disorders.
If you start enquiring about the zuicides of wives , the most likely reason could be the husband and if you start enquiring about the zuicides of husbands , the most likely reason could be the wives.

So what the government can do?

1.Start Councelling Centres to cater to personal and confidential complaints against their partners , rather than initially complaining with the police.

2.Let these counselling centres decide on whether a joint discussion with the couple will help solve the issue orelse give them an early advice to get divorced.

3.Or let the councelling centres reside whether the matter needs to be reported to the police.

4.Always it is better to give the partners a proper advice to get separated , and shouldn’t allow the decision to prolong , which will only invite a crime, and a police intervention at a time when the crime has already taken place.

5.So in most of the cases , the intervention comes from the police only after a prolonged period after the first incidence of crime.

6.So we need an intermediary like state owned councelling centres , where the partners can confidentially aproach and take their advice at an early stage , by which the present fatality rate of marital crimes can be brought down , even before the occurrence of a crime.

7.The present system of the society allowing the crime to take place , then the police intervention , media coverage , and a belated punishment do not make sense at all .

8.It could be best if we start an awareness campaign to encourage the partners to report and take advice from the state owned councelling centres at the very initial start of starting troubles in their lives.

    9. What the Government, Police and Media should be doing is to have a strong discussion in this regard , is my earnest opinion , I am presenting for your consideration at this time when lot of girls , year after year are getting mutilated , even with the so called high level of literacy we are having in Kerala.
