Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue collections in August stood at 90,669 crore rupees. Out of this, CGST revenue is 14,402 crore rupees, SGST 21,067 crore, IGST 47,377 crore and Compensation Cess is 7,823 crore rupees. This figure of GST revenue collection is upto 25th of September.
According to an official release, the figure, however, do not include the GST to be paid by 10.24 lakh assesses, who have opted for the composition scheme.
Additionally, there are still a number of assesses who have not filed their return either for July or August- 2017. The Finance Ministry also released the revised data of GST collection for July which is to the tune of 94,063 crore rupees.
