In a dazzling display uniting spirituality and culture, Kanpur bore witness to a historic Sanatan Yatra led by BJP luminary Ramesh Awasthi, accompanied by the imposing figure of The Great Khali. Setting off from the revered Ramlala Mandir in Rawatpur Goan, the procession spanned a remarkable 40 kilometers, drawing a caravan of over 300 cars, numerous Rath’s, and a sea of devotees.
The inclusion of The Great Khali lent a distinct allure to the affair, infusing it with an aura of grandeur and leaving an indelible impression on all who participated. As the yatra wound its way through Kanpur’s bustling thoroughfares, the fervor of the crowd was palpable, with flowers showered along its path and embraces extended in warm welcome.
A highlight of the Sanatan Yatra was the benevolent distribution of Diyas, Ram calendars, and copies of the Bhagavad Gita, imparting messages of peace, harmony, and spiritual enlightenment to the masses. Furthermore, Shri Ram Seva Mission National Coordinator Sachin Awasthi advocated for the declaration of January 22nd as “Sanatan Divas” (Sanatan Day) annually, symbolizing a day to commemorate the ongoing cultural and spiritual renaissance in the nation, in a letter addressed to PM Narendra Modi.
