Four IAS Trainees posted as Asst Secretary in the Ministry of Defence

IndianBureaucracy, New Delhi – Four members of the 2022 Batch of IAS Officer Trainees have recently been assigned as Assistant Secretaries with the Ministry of Defence at the central level.

After successfully completing their district training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie, these Officer Trainees are designated as Assistant Secretaries across various Central Ministries and Departments of the Government of India.

The Trainee Officers are:

  1. Akavaram Sasya Reddy IAS (Odisha 2022), holds a degree in B.Tech – Civil Engineering and recently concluded her District training at Jharsuguda, Odisha.
  2. Arpit Chauhan, IAS (Maharashtra 2022), holds a degree in B.Tech and recently concluded his District training as Supernumerary Assistant Collector – Jalgaon, Maharashtra.
  3. Mohit Kasniya IAS (Rajasthan 2022), holds a degree in B.Tech and recently concluded his District training as Assistant Collector – Bundi, Rajasthan.
  4. Shubhankar Pratyush Pathak IAS (AGMUT 2022), holds a degree in B.Tech and recently concluded his District training as Resident Additional Collector –  Khanvel Dadra & Nagar Haveli.

Starting from May 20, 2024, till July 12, 2024, for a period of eight weeks, the Officer Trainees will be actively participating in the day-to-day operations in their assigned duties. This period marks a critical step in their careers, offering firsthand experience in governance and policy implementation at the highest levels of the Indian bureaucracy.
