Grant of permission for setting up of Food Processing Industries is not under the domain of Ministry of Food Processing Industries. However, as per Section 31 of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 and Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Businesses) Regulation, 2011, administered by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare,all Food Business Operators require License / Registration prior to carrying on commencing of Food business.
As per the Food Licensing & Registration System (FLRS) of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), State –wise details of the number of units run by M/s Patanjali Ayurved Limited is given at Annexure.
