Engineers India Ltd. (EIL), as part of its CSR Initiatives, organized a camp for free distribution of Assistive Aids and Appliances for differently abled persons in Dibrugarh, Assam. Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Hon’ble Union Minister of State (I/C) for Sports & Youth Affairs was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The event was also graced by Shri Prasanta Phukan, Hon’ble MLA, Dibrugarh, Ms. Veena Swarup, Director (HR), EIL, Shri Vijay Gupta, Advisor, Assam Chamber of Commerce, Shri Adil Firoze, GM (Corporate Affairs), EIL and senior officials of EIL, ALIMCO and BCPL.
During the camp, a variety of High-tech Aids and Appliances such as Motorized Tricycles, Digital Hearing Aids, MSIED kits, Wheel Chairs, Crutch, Walking Sticks etc. were distributed to suitably assessed beneficiaries. The main objective of this project was to provide better quality artificial limbs and accessories free of cost to the needy and underprivileged differently abled persons.
